About

Hi I’m Max (they/them). I am currently the creative lead for website and digital at the Economic Policy Institute in Washington D.C. I have over 10 years of graphic design experience and I bring an accessibility lens to all my projects, ensuring websites and graphics are accessible for people with vision impairment, color blindness, autism spectrum disorder, and more.

Prior to joining EPI, I worked at Beekeeper Group, an advocacy PR and marketing firm, and I have experience in design for social media, printing and publishing. I am also an adjunct professor teaching web design at my alma mater, UMBC. I enjoy baking, swimming, and growing extra tall sunflowers.

Likes: Earl Grey tea with oat milk, my cat Bentley, pickles, painting, and Assateague Island

Dislikes: cat-calling, racism, olives

I am open to freelance design projects or art commissions. Let’s talk about your design needs.
